A Season to Savor

It’s easy to wish for the next season—when they sleep through the night, when tantrums fade, when the house stays clean for more than five minutes. But in longing for what’s next, we miss what’s now.

This season, with all its challenges and joys, is one we will never get back. There will be a last time they ask for one more bedtime story, a last time they crawl into our laps, a last time they mispronounce a word in the cutest way. And we won’t even realize it’s the last time until it’s already passed.

Let’s not rush through these days. Let’s be present, soak in the little moments, and thank God for the season we are in—because one day, we’ll look back and realize it was one of the best seasons of our lives.

"Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom." – Psalm 90:12
