Growing in Grace - Giving Yourself the Same Grace You Give Your Kids

2 Corinthians 12:9 - But he said to me, j“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

As mothers, we extend so much grace to our children. When they struggle with math problems, we encourage them to keep trying. When they spill their juice (again), we remind them that accidents happen. When they have big feelings, we sit with them, reassuring them that they are loved no matter what. But when it comes to ourselves? That grace seems to disappear.

God’s Word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that His grace is sufficient for us. If He extends that grace so freely, why do we struggle to give it to ourselves?

Today, let’s take a moment to recognize that we are still growing. We are learning right alongside our children. Some days will be messy. Some lessons will be harder than others. And just like our kids need encouragement and patience, so do we. Let’s allow ourselves to grow in grace and rest in God’s unshakable love for us.
