The Little Moments Matter

I used to think that making a difference meant doing big things.

I thought impact was measured in grand gestures, impressive accomplishments, or big, world-changing moments.

But now, as a mom, I’m realizing that some of the most important, life-shaping moments aren’t big at all.

They’re the little ones.

Like the way I hold my child’s hand when she’s nervous.
The way I stop what I’m doing to really listen when she talks.
The way I tuck her in at night with the same prayer, the same whispered I love you.

The world might not see these moments as important. But God does.

Zechariah 4:10 says:
"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin."

The little things matter. The unseen things matter. The quiet, everyday moments where we choose love, patience, and presence—they matter.

So if you’re feeling like your days are just a blur of snack requests, homeschooling, laundry piles, and wiping sticky fingers—know this: you are making an impact. You are sowing seeds that will grow in ways you can’t even see yet.

Keep showing up. Keep loving well. The little moments? They’re the ones that matter most.
