When You Feel Like You’re Failing
I don’t know about you, but there are days when I lie in bed at night replaying all the moments I wish I could redo.
I should have been more patient.
I shouldn’t have raised my voice.
I should have slowed down and played instead of rushing through my to-do list.
The weight of mom guilt is heavy, isn’t it?
But in those moments, God gently reminds me: I was never called to be a perfect mother—just a present one.
Psalm 73:26 says:
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
There will be days when I fall short. There will be days when I feel like I’m not enough. But God never asked me to do this on my own strength. He is my strength.
My kids don’t need a perfect mom. They need a mom who loves them deeply, who apologizes when she gets it wrong, and who shows them what it looks like to lean on Jesus through it all.
So tonight, instead of replaying every mistake, I’m going to rest in grace. I’m going to remember that my worth isn’t in how well I performed today—it’s in who I belong to.
And mama, that goes for you too. You are enough, because He is enough. You are loved, even on the hard days. And His mercies? They are new every single morning. 💛
