The Weight of Mom Guilt
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1 (ESV)
Mom guilt. It sneaks up when you least expect it.
I didn’t play with the kids enough today.
I let them have too much screen time.
I lost my patience.
I wasn’t fully present.
The enemy whispers, You’re not doing enough. You’re not a good mom.
But here’s the truth—God didn’t call me to be a perfect mom. He called me to be a present one. He called me to love my children, to show them grace, and to point them back to Him.
And just like I extend grace to my kids when they make mistakes, God extends grace to me.
So today, I’m letting go of the guilt. I’m laying it at the feet of Jesus. I’m choosing to believe that I am enough—not because of what I do, but because of who God says I am.
Mama, if you’re carrying the weight of guilt today, hand it over to Jesus. He never meant for you to carry it.
You are enough. You are chosen. You are deeply loved.
