Finding Joy in the Everyday Chaos

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

Motherhood has a way of teaching us how to find beauty in the mess, doesn’t it? Sticky counters, endless laundry, and the sound of little feet running through the house—it’s all part of this season. Some days, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the chaos, but this verse reminds us to pause and choose joy.

“Rejoice always” doesn’t mean we have to ignore the hard moments or pretend everything is perfect. It’s about looking for God’s fingerprints in the everyday. It’s hearing His whispers in the giggles of your kids, the warmth of a hug, or even the quiet stillness after bedtime.

When we anchor our hearts in gratitude, it changes everything. That spilled milk becomes a chance to teach patience, that tough homeschooling day becomes an opportunity for growth, and that unexpected mess becomes a memory in the making.

So, what’s one small way you can practice gratitude today? Maybe it’s writing down three things you’re thankful for, snapping a photo of a sweet moment, or just taking a minute to thank God for His faithfulness. Whatever it is, let it remind you that He’s with you, even in the mundane moments.
